6. Review of the Minutes of the 2024 All-Canada Convention Business Meeting in Winnipeg.

7. National Pastor’s State of the Church Oral Report.

11. Time and Place of Next All-Canada Convention

    Motions recommended by the Executive to the All-Canada Convention
    
    Whereas the general church has moved to an every three-year cycle for the General Assembly;
    and whereas reducing the frequency of the in-person All-Canada Convention will make attendance more affordable:
    the Executive recommends that the All-Canada Convention consider and adopt the following motions:

    a. Change the All-Canada Convention from an every two-year to an every three-year event, thus scheduling our next gathering for the summer of 2029.

    b. Change the terms of the moderator and vice-moderator to three years beginning with the elections in this All-Canada Convention.

    Whereas the board of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Canada suspended the constitution in 2022 to allow for a time of flexibility and discernment about our future structure;
    and whereas we have experimented with different leadership approaches and have learned from them;
    and whereas the stability of the church would benefit from formalizing a new structure,
    c. the Executive recommends the creation of a Constitutional Working Group to study and recommend a new constitution to the next All-Canada Convention.

    Whereas it is our historic tradition to alternate locations of conventions;
    whereas our previous convention was in the West and this convention is in Ontario,
    d. the executive recommends the next All-Canada Convention shall take place in 2029 in the Maritime Area.
    

12. Election of Officers for the 2026-2029 Term.
    
    [The following people have agreed to stand for the following positions:
    Carrie Shea for Moderator.
    Debbie Thibault for Vice-Moderator.

    Nadine Compton for Secretary.
    Ray Cuthbert to join the Pension Board.
    Doug Avram and Scott McIsaac to join the Ministry Assistance Fund.
    Russell Prime, Rachel Frey, and Roy Dungca to join the national Commission on Ministry.
    
    We still are seeking qualified and willing candidates for treasurer.]

   a. Ending the Use of Proxies
   Whereas the use of proxies comes from a time before online meetings were possible;
   and whereas the use of proxies is legally problematic in many instances;
   and whereas we would like to encourage congregations to fully participate in national meetings;
   the Executive recommends that as of the 2027 Annual General Meeting, the Church ceases to permit proxy voters.
   

9. Time of next Annual General Meeting to be held online.
   [September 18th 2027 at 11 am Eastern.]
