Building and Property Finances
Most of places of worship and ministry in our tradition are locally owned and controlled, but we strive to aid and assist one another!
Consulting for building planning, mission revitalization, and capital fundraising campaigns
Disciples Church Extension Fund (DCEF) is a general ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada that inspires and empowers communities of faith to create Holy Places where people connect with God, each other, and their neighborhood.
Planning
DCEF will work closely with your leadership to develop a roadmap that aligns with its mission and helps your place of worship use its people, property, and finances to be a movement of wholeness in a fragmented world. It provides advanced support to help your faith community plan for what's next, including:
Initial Consultation - Are you unsure of what your congregation, camp, seminary, or other Disciples organization needs? An initial consultation with one of the ministry’s expert advisors is the first step to planning your path forward.
Building Evaluation - Are your sanctuary, fellowship hall, or other structures in need of maintenance or repair? See how DCEF’s building evaluation service helps you assess everything from foundation to steeple.
Building Planning & Relocation - Constructing new facilities, renovating existing ones, or considering relocating? The ministry’s building planning services can assist you.
Building Disaster Response - Need help with your church building following a natural disaster such as a tornado, hurricane, or fire? Contact DCEF’s building disaster response team today.
New Beginnings – This consulting service empowers transformational leaders to guide congregations to answer God’s call during challenging congregational life. It will walk alongside you to find clarity and embrace a new vision.
Thriving faith communities often need to raise funds for a specific purpose or ongoing upkeep, whatever works for its mission. The ministry’s experts guide you through how to empower and inspire your congregation to be more. On average, places of worship who follow its plan meet or exceed their fundraising goals. If you have the vision, DCEF can help make it a reality.

Building Loans in Canada
Church of Christ Development Company Ltd. (CCDC) provides low-interest capital loans to congregational churches from several affiliations in Canada, that fit with its Statement of Beliefs and Practices.
Through donations, conservative stewardship, and the blessings of Malachi 3:10, our starting fund of $4,000 has since grown to the point where CCDC has been able to provide low to medium-sized loans, not only to its base affiliation but also to other affiliations, all without the use of a mortgage broker.
